Cabanas are a functional feature at beach clubs, adjacent to swimming pools at resorts and hotels, as well as residential pool and outdoor kitchen areas. These are often small rooms with ground-level porches that often include chairs, tables, couches, and lounges for relaxation and dining. Cabana Fabrication Materials

A cabana can be fabricated from a variety of materials and in a multitude of varying sizes. Cabana frames can be made of: aluminum or steel with a polyester powder coat paint or other durable finish; treated wood; or composite construction grade plastics. Roofs or top covers, side walls, and curtains commonly utilize exterior grade fabrics (such as fabric by Sunbrella), thatched materials, prefabricated panels of lumber, and translucent glass-lucite type plastic.

Additional features

More elaborate cabanas can include utilities such as power, communications and entertainment connections, potable water, or natural gas. Accessories can also include lighting, ceiling fans, outdoor space heaters, entertainment equipment, cold-hot food appliances, and partitions for dressing rooms and minor storage. Furnishings can range from simple patio furniture to more elegantly designed outdoor furnishings that are designed to match both the Cabana and the overall environment.
